Shri Arava Subramanyam began his journey in a small village near Railway Kodur, Cuddapah (Kadapa) district, Andhra Pradesh, born into a humble farmer family with limited means. Through perseverance and unwavering resolve, he completed a B.Com. degree from S.V. University, overcoming financial hardships and forging a path forward.
His career began as a supervisor at Archean Group, where his dedication, sincerity, and willingness to learn propelled his rise—eventually reaching the Director level after around 48 years of service. Notably, he remains the only employee in the organization to have served nearly five decades.
During a critical phase when Archean was grappling with severe operational and financial distress, Shri.Subramanyam stepped up. With a profound sense of ownership and relentless effort, he helped stabilize the company, restore its operations, and lead it to growth. In recognition of his key role, he oversaw the formation of Jakhau Salt Company Pvt. Ltd. and Bharat Salt Refineries Ltd., introducing Grade‑1 industrial salt production in India and positioning India’s industrial salt on the global map—earning Global Reputation to the Group and for him the widely respected title, “Salt King”
He also played a pivotal and key role in the establishment of Archean Chemical Industries Ltd., single handed and helping the group to expand into specialty chemicals. His contributions were consistently acknowledged by company promoters and management and made the Group financially sound with high reputation.

After retiring from Archean, Shri Subramanyam channeled his decades of expertise into founding Desuri Global Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. — a company committed to delivering premium-quality salt and allied mineral products to both domestic and international markets. Alongside salt, the company now operates a modern manufacturing plant in Rajasthan producing hydrated lime and quick lime.
